Shiftwork is an artist-led research partnership, founded in Cambridge, U.K. in 1999 to create work crossing the boundaries between visual arts practice, digital technology and dance. www.shiftwork.org.uk

Chirstinn Whyte worked throughout Britain as a performer, choreographer and teacher for over twenty years, and completed a PhD at Middlesex University, London, in 2008, researching choreographic practice for screen.

Photographer and digital artist Jake Messenger is a graduate of Glasgow University and Liverpool John Moore's M.A. programme in New Media Production.

Synopsis:

The piece makes use of short sequences of improvised movement translated into binary form, with each frame animatd by means of sequence replicators using the program Motion.
